Описание
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the mastermind behind Pearl Harbor, who led the IJN to face the allies during the first half of WW2 had a major love, that of gambling. Yamamoto’s loved Go, Shogi, mahjong, Poker and other gambling games. During his western European tour he spent a lot of time at Casinos, notably at the Casino of Monaco were he earned a ton of money. Yamamoto was refused admission to the Casino Monte Carlo in Monaco due to his excessive winnings and became the second Japanese in history to receive this “honor”. Yamamoto often neglected to cash in checks from his defeated opponents so they would still have money to keep playing him. Yamamoto was so confident in his gambling abilities he once boasted that he could win a battleship at the gambling table. The Admiral often made the joke that if his career in the navy were to go bust, he would happily open up a casino in Monaco.
